Workshop Description

Illuminate your subjects and find new ways to light your scene in this Creative Lighting workshop. Allow professionals to guide you through a variety of artistic lighting options: using colored LED panels, ring lights or light sticks to elevate your portraits.

We invite you to meet us at a specially-chosen venue near one of our Camera Experience Shops. After a brief introduction, we will rotate through photo stations addressing various topics such as lighting, composition, capturing details, and considering various elements that make for a successful photo.

Enjoy continuous access to professional photographers and our Blue Shirt Camera Experts and take the opportunity to try out an array of lenses, cameras and accessories. Please bring a government-issued photo ID in order to borrow the latest gear.

Workshop Requirements

You are required to bring your personal DSLR or Mirrorless Camera to the workshop. If you are a beginner, it's encouraged that you first attend a free Photo Workshop at a Best Buy Camera Experience Shop to learn the basics of photography. Click here to learn more and find a class near you.

Please Note: You must be 16 or older to participate. If you are 16-18 years old (except residents of AL and NE, 16-19 years old), your parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver at the time of check-in and accompany you at all times during the workshop. Otherwise, you may not attend.
